Erin Piorier is a professional herbalist who has been studying and working with plants for over eighteen years. Her education includes studies with Sage Mountain, The East West School of Herbology, and Erin has studied with Minnesota’s most prominent herbalists including Matthew Wood, Lise Wolff, and Matthew Alfs. Erin received her clinical training through an intensive eighteen month apprenticeship. Erin is a professional member of the American Herbalist Guild.
Erin is available for private consultation and provides her clients with handmade, wildcrafted herbal products gathered from the fields and forests of the upper midwest or grown in her organic St. Paul garden. She is committed to safe, collaborative, respectful natural health care that treats the whole person.
Erin is also homebirth midwife (CPM) who integrates her holistic health work with her midwifery services. As an herbalist, Erin has extensive experience serving the needs of families. She works with women during the times of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She also works with many infants and children.
Erin teaches extensively in the Twin Cities areas on topics such as plant identification, medicine making, herbs for children’s health, pregnancy and babies and hands-on workshops teaching herbal syrups, natural skin care and body care. Erin enjoys introducing beginners to the world of plant id and medicine making and enjoys digging into the big questions of herbal medicine and helping advanced students take their herbal work to the next level Erin is the co-organizer of the annual Holistic Health and Herbal Education Festival that takes place in Belle Plaine, Minnesota each September.
