Como Park Herb Walk

St. Paul’s own Como Lake is a treasure trove of edible and medicinal plants.  We will walk around the lake and look at both the restored prairie gardens and the common city “weeds” and explore the folklore, medicinal and culinary uses of many local plants.  $10

Herbs for Children's Health

Babies and children have unique health issues.  In this class we will  look in-depth at   traditional children’s herbs which are safe, gentle and effective for a variety of children’s health problems.  We’ll be sure to cover many common concerns including ear infections, fever, constipation, respiratory illnesses,  and more!  Bring your questions!   $20

Herbs for Pregnancy, Postpartum and Infancy

Herbs and other natural remedies can be safe, gentle and effective allies in coping with common but uncomfortable  problems during pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum as well as in the infant.  This class will cover safety concerns and herbs to avoid, traditional pregnancy tonics, herbs for specific pregnancy discomforts and disorders and a brief foray into traditional partus preparators (end of pregnancy tonics and labor promoters)  We will have lots of nourishing tonic teas to sample!   We will look at traditional practices from around the world that make for a smooth postpartum.  We’ll also be sure to cover many common concerns including postpartum anxiety and depression, hemorrhoids, low milk supply, colic, thrush, cord care and much, much more!   Bring your questions!  $20
