My natural skin care class in June was a lot of fun and there were more interested folks than I could accomodate. So....I am offering this workshop again.
Join me and a small group of other lovers of natural products for an afternoon of creations in the kitchen! We will make a rich and luxurious Yarrow and Green Tea Sunscreen, packed with natural sunscreen ingredients and absolutley no questionable chemicals. We will also make a shea butter brown sugar scrub.
Most of our session will be hands-on but I will also introduce some of the basic principles of natural cream making, properties of oils and butters, issues of preservatives and scent.
All materials will be provided and each participant will bring home a generous quantity of the Sunscreen and the Scrub

Prairie Day--You’re Invited to A Summer Day of Hands on Workshops and Medicine Making on the PrairieJoin herbalist Erin Piorier and Prairie enthusiast, planter and guardian, Donna Crocker at Donna’s land in Western WI. This exquisite piece of property is nearly 30 acres and includes restored Long and Short Grass prairies as well as a medicine wheel garden and a tall grass prairie labyrinth. The Rush River, a trout stream, also runs through this property, offering a different habitat for water loving plants.
This day of workshops will include learning about the history and ecology of the prairie, prairie and river -side plant identification walks, medicine making and herbal medicine education. Experienced medicine makers will also have opportunities to harvest independently. Those new to herbal medicine will be guided through the process.
You will have a chance to see many native plants in their natural environment in the prairie or by the river including:
